January 14, 2012 - The Banking Training conducted by GCIBFE for the Islamic Bank of Thailand (IBT) has started this morning was participated by 40 senior executives from the bank as the first batch.

The launching ceremony held at the Ramada Menam Riverview Hotel, Bangkok was officiated by INSANIAH Rector, Prof. Dato 'Wira Dr. Jamil Osman, and attended by the President of the IBT, Mr. Dheerasak Suwannayos with all IBT vice president and other senior staff including Dato' Dr. Adnan Alias, CEO of Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM).

Representing INSANIAH were Executive Director of GCIBFE, Tuan Hj Besar Ngah, and the Deputy Rector of Student Affairs and the Dean of Kulliyyah Muamalat, Prof. Dr. Wan Sulaiman Wan Yusoff as speakers. Other speakers involved were Encik Jamil Ramly, Ustaz Nazri Chik, Encik Wan Zambri and Haji Sabri Embi from IBFIM.

The workshop will run for three days, from January 14 to 16. It is held on a weekly basis and all of the 1800 IBT staff will participate alternately.

January 8, 2012 - Once again, Tuan Haji Shaya'a was honoured before leaving INSANIAH and this time was by Insan Bestari School.

A simple ceremony held at the Insan Bestari School was attended by INSANIAH management staff and students.

In the ceremony, Hj Shaya'a gave a farewell speech and shared some very interesting life journey to be a source of inspiration, especially to the students.

Insan Bestari School took this opportunity to present him with a gift as a token of appreciation.

January 5, 2012 - Haji Shaya'a Othman's devotion and service for two years as INSANIAH Holdings CEO and the Director of Global Centre of Excellence will be well remembered and celebrated in his farewell party today.

He was previously a Deputy Director of The Malaysian Fisheries and Development and the person who succeeded in exporting Proton to Turkey. He has expertise in learning techniques which is shared by him in his book Mappicxs which has benefited many students.

He was honoured in a ceremony held in the INSANIAH Dining Hall. He will return to Turkey and resume his six-star hotel business. Many senior staff have come to share their experiences with him including Dato' Wira Rector, Deputy Rector of Student Affairs, Registrar, Treasurer and several other senior staff of INSANIAH Holdings. In a sad tone, many of which reflect the departure of Mr. Haji Shaya'a is a lost that is hard to be replaced.

Not many have the characteristics that he has. Among stories shared was that Tuan Haji Shaya'a was the teacher who taught English to the Kedah Chief Minister when they were in England.

January 5, 2012 - Sultan Ismail Petra International Islamic College (KIAS) has entered into a MOA with Insaniah this afternoon. This means KIAS which is represented by its Chairman Dato 'Haji Mohammed Daud al-Iraqi and the chief executive officer Dato' Dr. Johari Mat has agreed on paper to buy Insaniah campus management system software for KIAS upgrade.

Insaniah was represented by the Rector himself, Prof. Dato 'Wira Dr. Jamil Osman and Insan Sistem Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mansor Mahmud. The Honourable Dato 'Mohamed Taulan Mat Rasul represented the Kedah Chief Minister witnessing the signing ceremony of this historic MoU.

Among the others invited guests were Tuan Haji Sobri bin Osman, President of Kulim Technology Park Corporation, Darul Ridzuan Islamic College (KISDAR) and Darul Ulum Islamic College (KIDU).
